The Andrews Lions Club is a service organization who’s members give their time and effort to improving the Andrews Community. They manage the Cherokee County Food Bank, along with serving in many other ways. They assist the sight impaired with the purchase of eye glasses and eye exams, and sponsor the annual “Eye Van”, which provides free eye exams to everyone. They collect used eye glasses for reuse in foreign countries.
Each year, the Andrews Lions Club provides a $1,000 college scholarship to a sight impaired Andrews High School student.
We man the ticket booth at Andrews High School football games.
Each Summer, they sponsor a camper to Camp Dogwood in Sherrills Ford, NC (on Lake Norman). Camp Dogwood is a therapeutic vacation retreat for persons with blindness and visual impairment.
